PBA Local #119 represent rank and file police officers (patrolman and detectives) who are employed by the Lawrence Township Police Department in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. The township has a total area of 22 square miles with a population of approximately 35,000 residents. Operated as a non-profit benevolent organization, the local is funded by member's dues, donations by Lawrence residents, and fund raising activities conducted on an annual basis. The Lawrence Township PBA donates thousands of dollars each year for benevolent causes to include scholarship funds, charities, financial assistance to families of fallen or critically ill officers, and for worthy causes that better Lawrence Township. In 2019, we were proud to celebrate 63 years of service to the Lawrence Township community.
PBA Local #119 is a proud member of the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association (NJSPBA). The NJSPBA was founded in 1896 by five New Jersey Police Departments: The Paterson Police Department, the Hoboken Police Department, the Newark Police Department, the Jersey City Police Department, and the Elizabeth Police Department. The NJSPBA is the largest police organization in New Jersey with over 33,000 members.
