2007-2008 Fund Drive The Lawrence Township Police Benevolent Association Local 119 is conducting its one and only fund drive for the year 2007. PBA Local 119 is made up of Lawrence Township Police Officers and has been representing the officers for more than forty-eight years. The Fund Drive is now in progress and we ask you for your support. During the 2005 year, Local 119 was advised by Lawrence Township that we would have to vacate our current PBA Hall due to the fact our hall was on Green Acres property. As of today there is no existing PBA Hall and we are currently searching for a new site to build one on. Our past fund drives have received overwhelming support from the Lawrence Township Community. Combined with our members dues, we fund and support many worthwhile programs. Each year, many organizations call on us to help them with their needs. We cannot support their programs on our officer’s dues alone. Again we call on our friends within the community to help us with the financial support. Education, safety, and sports programs are enthusiastically supported by us. Girls and boys programs of all ages are sponsored equally. In 2005, we presented scholarships to three college bound Lawrence High School students; one in 2006 and two in 2007. Unlike many other organizations, we do not solicit by telephone or go door-to-door. Lawrence Township Policemen’s Benevolent Association is the ONLY organization representing officers of the Lawrence Township Police Department. If you wish to support us with a donation, you can do so by using the self-addressed envelope enclosed for your convenience.
